Women's Pelvic Health
Pelvic floor physical therapy is treatment to help improve dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles. The type of treatment provided will depend on the symptoms you are experiencing. Treatment can include lengthening and relaxing the muscles, while others may require strengthening and retraining the pelvic floor muscles.
Education
Education is key in the journey of recovery! The patient will be provided with extensive individualized education to further help improve their current status and to help transition the patient into independent management of their bodies.
Labor Prep
Extensive training for labor preparation to include: specific stretching, breathing techniques, laboring positions, pushing positions and techniques, and immediate postpartum care as related to physical therapy.
Return to Run/Exercise Postpartum Program
Each patient will be evaluated for their current functional status and an individualized treatment plan will be created with the help of the patient to meet their postpartum goals. This can include a specific exercise routine to follow at home.
Therapeutic Exercise Prescription
Whether you are recovering from a surgery or would like to return to high level competition, we can help design an exercise program to meet your goals. Each exercise routine will help you make gains toward increased strength and mobility while decreasing the abnormal stress on your injured tissues.
Wellness Visits
Wellness visits will be provided to individuals that are seeking interventions that are not medically necessary. With injury prevention and return to exercise as primary goals.
Direct Access
This allows you to seek care from a physical therapist without needing a physician referral. This can save you time and money and allow you to seek treatment much faster.
