Knob Creek Physical Therapy was started to fill the need for one-on-one individualized care in Johnson City and the Tri-Cities community. We specialize in hands-on manual therapy treatment for all orthopedic conditions and women’s pelvic health dysfunction. Our goal is to help restore normal function of your body and give each person the knowledge and the tools to help carry this forward once our sessions together are completed.
Knob Creek Physical Therapy is a cash-based practice which allows us to provide high quality patient care without limitations or restrictions from insurance companies. The patient will pay at the time of service, but will have the opportunity to submit their own claim with insurance for possible reimbursement. With health care costs increasing and the majority of health insurances transitioning to high deductible plans, cash-based PT has been shown to reduce overall cost to the patient.
Meet the Physical Therapist
Catherine Sink, PT, DPT
Catherine graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in 2007. After working several years in a respected outpatient physical therapy practice in Knoxville, and seeing the benefits of manual physical therapy for so many people, she decided to further pursue this field of health care as a career. She then graduated with honors from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2012 earning her doctorate in physical therapy. Catherine began her career in an outpatient orthopedic setting where she worked with patients of all ages and treated a wide variety of conditions. During that time she had the chance to work with some of the top manual therapists in the field, allowing her the opportunity to further her hands-on skills and knowledge. After working in the orthopedic setting for 7 years, she began to recognize the importance of pelvic health in many of her female patients and its significant impact on their quality of life. She then decided to obtain the necessary training in women’s pelvic health as a pelvic floor therapist and then worked several years in a dedicated women’s pelvic health clinic. She enjoys being able to blend her pelvic floor treatments with her orthopedic skills and believes this creates a treatment plan that is well rounded for her patient’s. Away from her physical therapy practice, you can find Catherine spending time with her husband Dane, her daughter, and little dog, Jefe`.
